We bought a home in August 04 and once things settled we took up the project of designing the interiors.We had looked everywhere in the US for furniture and accessories to make it the home of my dreams, but found nothing as interesting and unique in our budget that appealed us. I knew Hirenbhai personally and after exchanging a few emails with him, I got the confidence that I would be able to get all I wanted from India.

I flew down to India in September 04 with a certain image and glimpses in my mind of how I wanted to decorate my new home. I wanted to give each of my rooms a certain character, an individuality, a theme. So I had collected all the information that I could from websites and books so I could present my ideas to him. Also, I had taken the floor plans of our home and all the dimensions and measurements and pictures of all the rooms that I wanted to decorate.

Once I met him, we started the process very quickly. I started expressing my ideas and he started sketching them and bringing them to reality on paper. I was very happy and excited with the initial output. Day by day, his team worked very efficiently to put those sketches into drawings using softwares. Now I saw a better picture of how my furniture would look once placed in the rooms. We did a little back and forth and finally approved all the drawings. I was very pleased with Hirenbhai's patience in understanding my requirements and his spirit of not giving up till I was happy with every little detail that we had discussed regarding the interiors- the spacing, arrangement of the furniture in the room, color coordination, quality of the wood, other materials to be used, upholstry, design of the furniture and all other accessories needed to make it a complete room. His team also worked on sending all these pictures to my husband in the US via email so we could get a consensus on what we were doing.

We finalized on the designs for the Family Room, Formal Indian style Living Room, Dining Room, Master Bedroom and a Basement Bar. We are a young couple and so I wanted my furniture to match our personalities and at the same time be very user friendly in terms of the material used in making it. I wanted all my furniture to look contemporary and my husband wanted it to be very user friendly and last us a long time. Hirenbhai did a wonderful job in matching our both's requirements very satisfactorily.

Once things got finalized on paper, came of task of selecting the raw materials needed for making the furniture.

Hirenbhai and his team came with me to many stores to select the wood, marbles, upholstery, materials for curtains and draperies, paintings, carpets and all other accessories needed to decorate the room.

Once the raw materials got finalized, he got me basic estimates from his carpenter for each room which made the picture very clear. He also got me estimates on shippings these items to the US which was very helpful.

I had less than a month's time to get through all of this and I must say that Hirenbhai and his team worked very hard to get all these things together and make this project successful. They all devoted a lot of time for my project and finally before I left to come back to the US, presented me with a wonderful file that had all the drawings, sketches and dimensions in all views of all the rooms we had designed. This was really helpful for my husband and he was very pleased with this work. After I came back to the US We matched all the drawings and dimensions to the actual room sizes and make some minor changes and gave a "GO" in terms of starting the work.

With continous communication via emails and phone, all this furniture got ready within about 4 months. Then Hirenbhai and his team worked on the shipment process and getting all the paperwork ready which was quite tedious. All the furniture was packed very appropriately -marbles and glass in wooden cases and rest in boxes so as to make sure that all the furniture would reach here without any wear and tear. They used professional services for packing all the furniture.After getting all the insurance paperwork and the extensive document list required for the shipment, Hi-INDIA was ready to make the first shipment to US.

All my furniture reached US safely within 90 days as expected and we had to go through some minor formalities of clearing customs here over the phone after which my container 20 ft x 7 ft was dispatched to my home in PA.

We had arranged for proffessional movers to help us unload the furniture to the appropriate rooms and that was done within half a day. There were only very minor damages to some of the pieces which were easily fixable oer here. Rest the furniture got here in excellent shape.

The only thing Hi-India needs to work better on is the product assembly. Since the furniture is made using excellent wood and is solid and very heavy, assembling the heavy furniture was little bit of an issue if the pieces dont fit right into each other. However with some tools and effort we were able to put that through as well and finally I had my dream home ready within months and it turned out to be very durable, reasonable and cost efficient compared to the US.

Thanks to Hi-India and its team for its excellent work for making this project a successful one. I am sure that with the feedback provided from us they will only get better with every project and make many's requirements turn into realities.
